How to check if the Lumina camera is not detected by your computer?
The simplest way to check is to open Zoom or Google Meet and check whether the Lumina Camera - Raw is available as an option in the video source options. If it's available, then your camera is detected by the computer. If not, please keep reading:
What to do when your Lumina webcam is not detected by your computer
There are a few things to check:
- Are you using a dock, adapter, or monitor when connecting the Lumina to your computer?
Try connecting the camera directly to the USB port without any docks/adapters/monitors. - Are you using a 3rd party cable or the USB-C cable that came in the box?
Try the cable provided by Lumina. Even though other cables look the same on the outside, the wiring on the inside is different. - Have you tried plugging Lumina into another computer?
Do this to check if the problem is on the computer side rather than the Lumina camera side. If it works on another computer, maybe try other ports on the computer you're having the not detected problem with. - If you're seeing a name other than "Lumina Camera - Raw" as the camera option when the Lumina camera is plugged in.
It means the firmware is not properly installed in the camera, please recover the firmware. Here's the Firmware Recovery article.
