Will my parcel be charged customs and import charges?
You may be charged for handling fees and taxes as your order passes through customs. Any charges on a parcel must be paid by the person receiving the parcel (this also applies to retail & wholesale customers).
How will I be charged for customs and import charges?
Lumina has no control over these charges, and we can't tell you what the cost would be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country.
It might be a good idea to contact your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting. You can use the HS code of our Lumina: 8525891900 to inquire with your local customs office.
What happens if I don't pay the customs charges?
If payment has not been received and is considered expired by the local courier/customs service, the package may be returned to Lumina or disposed of at the site, we'll only issue a refund for your items once it arrives back at our warehouse. We're not able to reship a parcel that has been returned to us, so you'll need to place a new order if you still want the items.
The recipient is the importer of record and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the destination country. Customs delays can affect original delivery estimates.
- Customs offices in some countries or regions require the importer of record to provide a form of identification before releasing a shipment, such as a Passport, Tax ID, etc. Visit our Customs Regulations for Identity Documents page for more information.
